MISSION STATEMENT - This statement is not carved in stone. It will develop and evolve as we progress. For the development of a Complex including "the Gloucester Maritime Museum" and "the Gloucester Arts Center".

Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) - N. Adams, MAScheduled to open publicly in 1998, The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) is an extrardinary porject to convert a 27-building historic mill complex in the Berkshire mountains of Western Massachusetts into a multi-disciplinary center for visual, performing and media arts. More than a static display hall, MASS MoCA will provide space, tools, and time for artists, cultural institutions and businesses working in sculpture, theater, dance, film, digital media and music. New work will be creatd in patnership with high technology and new media companies.
Fisheries Museum, Lunenberg, Nova Scotia - The Gloucester City Council expressed their interest in an Arts Center, Fisheries Museum similar to Lunenberg N.S. and to provide hands-on educational opportunities for the children of the community. This proposal would provide for the community as well as attracting visitors to the City by generating interests and needs for the Gloucester community.
Pacific Harbor - Northwest Passage Oregon Coast Aquarium - Oregon's rugged and scenic coastline has long attracted visitors to the state, and the Oregon Coast Aquarium has quickly developed into the most popular attraction along Highway 101.
Oregon Coast Aquarium - Come and get close to over 170 species of aquatic animals, without getting wet or eaten. Dedicated to exposing its visitors to Oregon's unique coastal resources, the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport was declared one of the nation's top 10 aquariums by Parade magazine. It consistently earns rave reviews by travelers from around the world.
The Gloucester Arts Centre - Canada - Our Canadian sister town of Gloucester seems to be thinking the same. It will be interesting to watch the two progress.
