The Beeman Memorial School - in particular is an Arts Throughout the Curriculum school. The staff has worked extensively with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and artists in residence programs. Teachers are supported by an Eisenhower professional development grant awarded to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (Art Education Department, College of Visual and Performing Arts) and the SMARTS Collaborative (Southeastern Massachusetts Arts Collaborative).
